Epworth's Samaritan Ministry

Epworth's Samaritan ministry provides a lifeline to individuals and families in our community who are in need.  We acknowledge severe poverty exists within the United States and in our own community.  Statistics remind us that one in four children are at risk of hunger (Household Food Security in the United States, 2008).  Epworth Samaritan ministry assist many in our community by partnering with Meals On Wheels, Resurrection House Homeless Shelter, Cornerstone Soup Kitchen and by issuing food vouchers and providing limited financial assistance.

                Food Pantry Ministry
Partnering with other local churches, Epworth issues food vouchers which can be submitted at First
Presbyterian Church for food.  Food vouchers are  issued on Wednesday's from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30
                p.m.
To receive a food voucher, please  come to the carport located in our north parking (5th & Colorado).
Once you receive a food voucher, you can go to the Presbyterian Church located at 6th & Minnesota
Monday through Thursday to receive food.  Food vouchers are only issued every two months.

                Financial Assistance
Epworth provides limited financial assistance to assist with utility bills and medicine.  Assistance is
evaluated on a case by case basis.  Normally we assist with the last $40 of a utility bill.  Assistance is
